Samantha Sudano

LPC

Bio

Samantha has been involved in the mental health community since 2009 when she started assisting individuals with developmental disabilities in Brooklyn, New York. She supported these individuals in their home environments to achieve a higher level of independence for three years before deciding to return to graduate school. Samantha attended Brooklyn College for Mental Health Counseling and spent her internship facilitating individual therapy sessions for students in Guttman Community College. Upon graduating in 2014, Samantha started working at an intensive outpatient program for substance abuse treatment in Harlem, New York. This experience cultivated Samantha’s ability to hold a warm and supportive space for clients to explore their current areas of “stuckness” while also healing from past significant trauma. During this time, Samantha decided to continue her learning at the Gestalt Center, a 3 year training program which delves into a holistic and experiential framework of therapy. Samantha also has experience being on an ACT team, making home visits to the severely mentally ill, working alongside medical professionals in a clinic, and conducting individual therapy with adolescents, adults, and elders.

Samantha is an intuitive and creative therapist who supports clients in the healing process. Applying her natural sense of connection and energy, she guides her clients to a higher state of awareness, openness, and fullness in being. Trust, honesty, respect, safety, acceptance, commitment, consistency, and a dose of humor are all part of the foundation that Samantha is able to provide.
