Bio

Renee enjoys working with families, couples and individuals who want to work toward healthy relationships including effective communication and meaningful connection. She is passionate about learning healthy coping strategies and integrating new skills and tools to replace unhelpful behavioral cycles.

Renee graduated from Western Washington University with an undergraduate degree in Psychology. She worked in autism research for 5 years focusing on developing social skills programs and school based educational programs. Renee then made a shift to work in higher education and focused on working with college age students while receiving her Master’s degree from Point Loma Nazarene University in Clinical Counseling.

Renee utilizes an eclectic approach in therapy and values individualized care and client centered approaches. Renee implements methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), emotionally focused therapy as well as other modalities.

Renee has been married to her wonderful husband for 8 years and together have two lovely children along with 6 goats. In her time outside of working she loves spending time in the outdoors hiking, skiing, backpacking and traveling. Renee was swept up by the Sourdough bread making phenomena, and enjoys other activities such as painting, and reading fiction and non-fiction books.
