Mandy Hay

Mandy Hay is a newcomer to Central Oregon. Originally from Iowa, she has continued to move west. She has spent the last 12 years working in community mental health in rural and mountainous Chaffee County, Colorado. Community mental health work has provided a wide- array of clinical experiences for Mandy including extensive crisis work. She has provided services to children at a preschool and residents at a nursing home all within the same day. In the last handful of years Mandy has really enjoyed working with the Medicare-eligible population. This has tended to include individuals with co-occurring medical and mental health complexities. Her belief in the mind and body connection was also confirmed when she provided behavioral health consultations at primary care clinics. She continues to learn ways to incorporate somatic psychology into her psychotherapy practice.

Mandy is passionate about working with adults from all walks of life. In 2017-2018 Mandy went through the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) basic training through the Maiberger Institute in Boulder, CO. This training and further advanced training has given Mandy a new “superpower” in working with clients struggling with trauma. She is committed to expanding upon her EMDR skillset and working through the EMDRIA certification
process. Mandy is currently licensed in both Oregon and Colorado as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She obtained a Master’s in Social Work degree from the University of Denver (DU) in 2008.

Mandy is really excited about exploring the Pacific Northwest with her husband and son. They are looking forward to getting a puppy that can also enjoy the adventures.
