Jennifer Portillo



Jennifer uses her warm and welcoming style to connect with her clients. Jennifer believes everyone has unique life experiences. She is passionate about helping people process through past pain/trauma and improving their mental health. Jennifer specializes in working with children, young adults, and their families.

Jennifer was born and raised in San Diego, California. She lived in New Jersey for a few years during her childhood. Jennifer recently moved to Central Oregon where she loves spending time outdoors – rock climbing, backpacking, off-roading, camping, and going on adventure with her fiancé and 3 dogs.

Jennifer graduated with her Bachelor’s in Social Work in Flagstaff, Arizona where she immediately started working for The Department of Child Safety, specifically with foster care and adoptions. She later completed her Master’s of Social Work at Walden University’s Advanced Standing Program where she worked with addictions in a rehab setting. While in Central Oregon, she worked as a Child and Family Therapist in a middle school setting. Jennifer’s clinical modalities include DBT, CBT, MI, ACT, mindfulness skills, and solution-focused therapy approaches. Jennifer is currently a Certified Social Work Associate through the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers and is working towards being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
