Sometimes we go through experiences that turn our world upside down. Sometimes we need a little help changing old patterns that are no longer serving us. Seeking support when life is challenging is a courageous act. I care deeply about creating a warm, affirming space to support people on their healing journey. As a Marriage and Family therapist, I believe in the power of relationship to heal, including creating a more compassionate relationship with oneself.
I have an integral, client-centered approach to therapy, having developed a toolbox full of tools to help my clients meet their unique goals and connect with their innate resilience. I draw from DBT, CBT, mindfulness skills, Motivational Interviewing, somatic and psychodynamic therapies, among others. I also have training in working with Complex PTSD and see my work through a social justice lens.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in History from UC Santa Cruz and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (2010). I have also training and experience in Clinical Supervision and have a special love for providing support, collaboration, and mentoring to other clinicians.
