I hold the conviction that self-discovery is a potent and valuable inner guide. My work with clients’ centers on self-exploration and the development of skills to preserve a connection to oneself in difficult times. Employing a client-centered and strengths-based approach, I work with individuals in building resilience, increasing self-awareness, and developing practical coping skills to manage life’s challenges with a healing, grounded, and reflective sense of self.
As a Dialectical Behavior Therapist, I employ mindfulness, skills training, behavioral analysis, and change interventions to enhance self-awareness, assimilate value systems, and refine skills for practical application. I integrate Attachment Theory, guided by Internal Family Systems Theory, with Motivational Interviewing techniques to pinpoint and cultivate strengths-based therapeutic tools, aiding in coping and overcoming challenges to personal development and interpersonal effectiveness. My areas of specialty include Anxiety, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Neurodiversity, and stress and resilience during life transitions.
My educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Oregon and a Master of Social Work from Portland State University. I have certifications as a Dialectical Behavior Therapist, Clinical Trauma Therapist, and Disaster Mental Health Counselor. I am a board-certified clinical supervisor for Social Work and Counseling associates.
