Life can often lead us through unexpected terrain, presenting challenges that can seem, at times, insurmountable. My passion lies in helping those who are struggling with these obstacles to discover their inner strengths and unleash their full potential for a fulfilling life. With a background rooted in trauma-informed care and a keen understanding of identity exploration, I aim to create a collaborative therapeutic relationship to foster trust and respect. Through this relationship my goal is to provide a space where individuals can unpack their experiences, redefine their narratives, and embrace their authentic selves.
Each person is unique, and I believe treatment should be tailored to best meet the needs of each individual. Utilizing a holistic approach, I draw from a range of evidence-based techniques including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness practices. My approach integrates the relational model, emphasizing the importance of genuine connection and mutual respect in the therapeutic process. By weaving elements of DBT and ACT into our work, I equip clients with practical skills to navigate emotions, relationships, and life’s complexities with resilience and grace.
My educational background includes a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Adler University in Chicago, Illinois. I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Additionally, I have a Master’s level certification in Addiction Counseling (MAC).
