I believe that we all have the inherent tendency to reach towards growth and health. My approach is one where I facilitate the client in removing obstacles that block access to their true self. I value autonomy and therefore collaborate with clients on deciding goals and treatment plans that fit with their values. I enjoy and believe in the power of play therapy for young children and enjoy collaborating with families to problem through daily life stressors.
I focus primarily on family and couples therapy. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and use evidenced-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also incorporate mindfulness, art and Narrative Therapy to assist clients in their journeys toward healing. I am bicultural, bilingual, and an LGBTQ+ ally. Trauma-informed care and competency in multicultural awareness are highly important and at the center of my work.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Southern California, Santa Cruz, and a Master of Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling at Portland State University (2017).
