Every client deserves a therapist who sees them as a unique person who is more than just a set of problems, but rather an individual with their own history, environment, relationships, strengths, and goals. Within my social work practice, my intention is to empower each client to discover how they want to navigate through and challenge life stressors. I am committed to helping clients develop the confidence to heal and approach life as their authentic self.
In every client interaction I have, I aim to create a safe, client-centered environment in which the client is viewed as the expert in their own life and we can work as a team to create goals and change. I use an empathic, tailored approach grounded in evidenced-based practices, including CBT, DBT, ACT, strengths-based, and Prolonged Exposure; I am in process with EMDR training. I work primarily with teens and adults, and have an extensive history treating individuals with depression, suicidal or self-harming ideations, anxiety, panic, postpartum, substance use, relational conflict, and psychosis.
I graduated from San Diego State University with my Master of Social Work and have been a licensed social work since 2016 in California and 2018 in Oregon. I have previously done crisis work in residential facilities and in collaboration with law enforcement. Most recently I worked within integrated behavioral health of primary care.
