I believe therapy can help anyone navigate the ups and downs that are a part of the life experience. Being willing to engage in the vulnerability that therapy requires takes immense courage which can be supported through a positive therapeutic relationship. My goal is to provide a nonjudgmental, trusting space that allows clients to feel safe with being their most vulnerable selves and empower individuals to be able to make the changes to improve their quality of life. I work with clients to improve their self-awareness, change unhelpful thoughts and/or behaviors, instill hope and confidence, and provide skills to support them on their healing journey.
I firmly believe in meeting each client where they are at and providing a person-centered approach to best help each individual client. I utilize an integrative style that incorporates a variety of evidenced-based practices including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Internal Family Systems Therapy. I mainly work with teens and adults and have experience working with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, and interpersonal relationships. I am also trained in working with the severe and persistent mental health issues (SPMI) population.
I have worked in the mental health field for over ten years and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon. My educational background includes an MA in Applied Psychological Sciences from Pacific University and a BS in Psychology from the University of Oregon.
