I believe that life is full of both challenging and wonderful moments and that sometimes we need someone to walk alongside us through these moments. I believe all individuals are the expert on their own journey and as I walk alongside you, I focus on trustworthiness and collaboration, creating a nonjudgmental space where you feel empowered to explore your authentic thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
I use varied approaches when working with individuals acknowledging that everyone has different backgrounds and identities and need individualized services. These varied approaches come from a trauma-informed lens including, Person Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have also been trained in and worked at length with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Multidisciplinary Studies from Eastern Oregon University and a Master of Counseling from Oregon State University-Cascades.
