It is my firm belief that healing can be greatly assisted by a therapist who is both professional and human. I strive to foster a relationship where you feel safe enough to be authentic and vulnerable. Therapy doesn’t need to be “robotic,” and I encourage you to express feelings of happiness, sadness, and everything in between; to laugh, to cry, and to know that I will graciously hold a space for you to let it go. Trauma can lead us to believe that we are unworthy, unlovable, or incapable and it takes courage to acknowledge these thoughts and beliefs in therapy. It is a great privilege to work alongside people as we explore new perspectives, challenge unhelpful and fearful self-talk, and reframe the story and beliefs that are no longer serving you. I will hear you, I will validate your feelings, and I will challenge you because healing and growth coincide with discomfort and freedom of expression.

Through a trauma informed lens, it is my desire to meet individualized needs and goals. I have experienced significant progress with clients through utilizing Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT),Motivational Interviewing (MI), Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing(EMDR), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Utilizing a Person Centered, Parts Work, and Strength Based approach, I aim to assist you in discovering your authentic self and doing the work to be exactly who you want to be personally, relationally, and in this world.

I earned my Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University and I have a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Oregon. I have had the privilege to work in an adult residential eating disorder treatment center, in a shelter with houseless youth, and in a boarding school with underserved teenage girls. My most recent clinical experience includes working with survivors of child abuse (kiddos and teens)and their caregivers at a Child Advocacy Center.
