Even during our most distressing, difficult thoughts and feelings, inevitable pain and hardships, and challenging times in our lives, people can still live meaningful lives, aligned with their highest values. I am passionate in my work with individuals to help them move forward through difficult thoughts, emotions, and challenges, so they can put energy into healing, instead of dwelling on the negative. I work collaboratively with clients to understand their current experience and identify workable steps to precipitate change to better serve their lifegoals.

The techniques that I use are supported by current evidence. My general counseling approach draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques to the treatment of the individual.

My educational background includes a Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oregon State University and a Master of Student Personnel Administration from Buffalo State College.
