I believe in social justice and welcome all beings.  I love to collaborate with others and believe strongly that we never stop learning or growing.  I love the outdoors and incorporate outside spaces in my work as much as possible.  I believe the mind and body must heal together, one leading the other at times, but together.  Trauma is something that we know we hold in the body as much as in the spirit and the mind.  Addressing those together is fundamental to my approach and overall philosophy.  I love music of all sorts in general and singing specifically (another way the mind and body come together to heal).  I am incredibly passionate about animals and I love my 2 sibling golden retrievers.  And I can't leave out swimming.  I. Love. To. Swim.  My goal is to create a safe, supportive space for individuals, couples and families to heal and grow and I look forward to collaborating with you on your journey towards health and resilience.

I practice from an attachment, interpersonal neurobiological and trauma informed care lens.  My approach is strength based, client centered, and collaborative in nature.  I specialize in the treatment of trauma and trauma related diagnoses, including Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, complex developmental trauma, depression, anxiety and complex relational family issues and dynamics. I celebrate neurodiversity and work with individuals from all neuro backgrounds.  My work is centered around the concept of neuroplasticity, or the brain's ability to rewire itself and form adaptive, healthy pathways via cognitive, somatic and horizontal (EMDR) processing techniques.  Through brain and body work, we can heal.

I am a certified Clinical Trauma Professional specializing in EMDR, cognitive and somatic processing techniques.  I am a Certified Trauma Informed Care Trainer for the state of Oregon through Portland State University and Trauma Informed Oregon.  I am a licensed clinical social worker for the state of Oregon and have taught at Portland State University in their Social Work Program.  I have a BS in Psychology from the University of Oregon and Masters in Social Work from Portland State University.  I am also a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist.
