Group Therapy

What Is Group Therapy?

Group therapy is where a group of individuals (usually 5-10) meet together with a therapist. These groups typically meet once a week for 45 to 90 minutes. There is typically a common topic or experience that group members are working towards. Group therapy can occur in addition to individual therapy or serve as a sole form of therapy. Group therapy can help develop communication and coping skills, and can be a great source of support.

How Does It Work?

Simply reach out to Clara Hanson LCSW Group Coordinator if you are interested in groups. You can also inquire through our contact submission form. We typically have open and closed groups for a variety of different topics. Open groups are where individual can join at any time and the group is typically ongoing. A closed group is where a set number of individuals start and finish a group after a fixed number of sessions, generally 8-12 weeks.
